When you’re ready to build, it all starts with that perfect piece of land. If you haven’t already found your dream parcel, Beth Sandland is a licensed Realtor in both Arkansas and Missouri, and can help you find the perfect property to build your dream home!
Once your site has been selected, it’s time to do a complete site analysis and inspection and have the plans drawn up! Whether you provide the plans yourself, or you have us design the perfect set of plans for you, once we know what the scope of the project is, we can begin to give you an idea of costs.

Quality Rural Custom Homes
Sandland Construction builds quality custom homes in a rural setting. As a rural home builder and General Contractor, we know how to take a raw piece of land and turn it into your dream homestead! Whether you are wanting to build a barndominium or modern farmhouse or a lake home, we can help you get to where you want to go from start to finish!
Red Iron
We are one of the few builders in the area who do red iron/steel buildings in this area of the Ozarks. Red iron/steel structures have beams that can span large spaces, are extremely durable, and can withstand storms and wind. Many people choose to build their barndos out of red iron.
Out Buildings & Pole Barns
If you would like to build a free standing garage, a barn, an implement shed, or some other type of outbuilding, we can make that happen for you! Pole barns have become increasingly popular over the years as residential dwelling units (barndominiums) because they are cost effective to build and offer the ability to create extremely versatile floor plans. In addition, the metal roof and exterior are extremely low maintenance and durable.

We know that deciding to build you home can be a daunting task. You’ve probably heard horror stories, and you may very well find the idea super exciting and terrifying all at the same time! The best advice we can offer is to take it one step at a time, hire a builder who is not only qualified and will put out a great product, but will be part of your team and help you manage your new build every step of the way. How Long Does it Take?
Current building times are 12-24 months, depending on the size of the project, the distance the project is from town center and the scope of the project. Very small (tiny) or retrofit (barn conversions) may take less time.
What does it cost?
As a custom builder, our prices vary widely, from $65/SF for a basic outbuilding to well over $250 a foot for higher end custom homes. While we are definitely not a “low cost” builder, we do build a quality product that will serve you and your family for generations. In other words, we build legacies!
What areas do you work in?
Zoning laws vary from county to county, but currently we can legally build in every county we serve in MO – Ozark, Douglas and Howell. In Arkansas, we service Baxter, Marion, Fulton and Izard counties.
