When you’re thinking about building a custom home, putting an addition on your home, doing a large remodel, or remodeling your kitchen and/or bathroom, it is natural to think of how much it’s going to cost. The truth is, it’s probably going to cost a lot more than you think. We saw a huge jump in prices during the COVID crisis, and while we all hoped prices would go back down, the fact is, they just haven’t. In fact, residential construction prices today are somewhere between 35%-60% higher than prices were before COVID, and there is no sign of prices going down anytime soon.
It may seem like the only way around crazy prices is to go with lowest bidder – even if this means using unlicensed companies. Unfortunately, that is a sure way to get burned, and our area of the Ozarks is rife with “contractors” taking advantage of folks. Although it may seem counter-intuitive, you’re best opportunity to end up with a new home or a remodeled home that you’re happy with is not to consider price first – it’s actually to consider the relationship first!

In fact, it was walking through many historic mansions, 100 year old farm houses, and restored mid-century moderns that lead us to our tagline – We Build Legacies.

So how much does it cost to build a legacy? Well, that depends on many factors, but you can use our estimators as a good starting place!
